Wednesday ~ Friday (very busy with a visit from Grandma)

I'm a baby on the move.

The first full bath experience... I've been more comfortable.

Much happier now... thanks for warming me up, Grandma.

Dear Dad

I understand from mom that you had to leave for a while. From my conversations with my peers at the hospital nursery I guess this is a common situation. None of the other babies liked the idea, either. Our first two weeks were a lot of fun (well I can only speak for myself; I hope they were fun for all the adults, too) and if I understood you correctly, we have many more good times to look forward to when you get back. That's great. I want you to know that I'm really excited about it (mom's nice and all, but she's a GIRL.) Of course, as a little baby, I have no concept of time or the future. So I may act aloof or like I don't care that you're gone. But just so that you know, I do care and every time mom mentions you (which is just about constantly; I think she has a crush on you or something) I think about hanging out with you again and learning to do all the fun guy stuff you talked about.

So, you know, just for the record.

No Longer a Newborn, Not Yet a Man

Sunday evening my umbilical cord fell off. Just like that, mom doesn't have that "watch out for the tender and slightly gross newborn" look on her face when she changes me. I'm not sure how to take this. On the one hand, no more cold alcohol swabs at every changing. On the other, I feel oddly like I've lost some sort of attachment to mom's nurturing and protection. Hmm. Ah, well time to start shreiking for a feeding...

Getting up to Speed

I realize many of you are just joining us today, so I'm posting photos of the past 2 weeks. I'll be reminiscing from time to time as well...

Day 16

So today is my 16th day here, and mom seems to just be getting around to getting me online. The service here leaves me underwhelmed (especially compared to my last assignment) but I suppose with the right amount of rabble-rousing I'll get what I need to perform properly.
Welcome to my observations on life as a baby.
